We accept layout files in InDesign CS3, Illustrator CS3 or pdf formats, images (eps, tif, jpg...) must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
The printable area.
You can print on the entire outside of the package, i.e. on the front and rear of the closed package. Only a small zone will be set aside for legal notices; therefore, you cannot place any message there. On the other hand, you can always use your backdrop colour in this area. Avoid excessively gaudy backdrops that make the text difficult to read.
The back of the package, i.e. the inner liner of the closed package, is reserved for instructions on how to use the condom.
Default printing is one colour: black text on white background.
It is possible to customize the condom foil, depending on the brands and for a minimum series of some 300,000 units. These will be factory-printed, so delivery time is 4 months minimum.
Closing systems.
Automatic sticker closing :
Models 64uno, 64unoPlus, 64duo et 64trio are condom packages which are automatically machine-folded and -closed. They are therefore sealed by a transparent removable sticker. Once this sticker has been removed, the package can still be closed by hand, as with other models.
Manual closing :
Except for the aforementioned models, all of our condom packages are hand-folded and -closed, making it easy to open and close them again as often as necessary. On the other hand, manufacturing time will be longer than for our automated sticker-closed models.
Packaging.
Condom packages are normally shipped in 1,000-unit boxes. Models which include several condoms are packed in batches of 500 or 750 pieces, according to the possibilities.
Boxes are blank and measure 40 x 30 x (h) 45 cm. They usually weigh between 6.5 and 8 kg, depending on the package models. For more considerable amounts, boxes are placed on wrapped Euro-pallets shot. A pallet may hold no more than 32 boxes.
Important: Euro-pallets are based on a discharge system; you will be invoiced for any delivered pallet you do not return to the carrier.
Delivery times.
Delivery time is between 3 and 4 weeks after approval of the final press proof.
Orders greater than 100,000 units will require a longer period.
We can print urgent-order packages digitally to reduce printing time to 5 business days. This express-printing mode will be subject to special pricing !

Mandatory legal notices.
Condoms are considered a medicinal product, and are therefore subject to certain legal obligations.
The condom must be accompanied with "how-to" instructions. That is why the package is essential, as the instructions are printed on the inside.
The outside of the package must display the contents, expiry date, lot number, EC Standard number and name and address of the manufacturer and/or importer of the condom.
The foil of the condom must feature the EC Standard number, expiry date and lot number.
For the USA, there are additional indications which must be added both inside and outside the package. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) authorization number is also required.
Which languages to choose.
Depending on the country in which the condom packages are to be distributed, the law requires the use of certain languages for "hot-to" instructions. For example, in a country like Belgium or Switzerland, where there are three official languages, it is recommended that the instructions be given in these three languages. For distribution in Germany or France, only one language is sufficient. For widespread European distribution, it is recommended to use German, English, Spanish and French.
Depending on the condom brand, you may choose any of the following languages: AR, BG, CZ, DE, DK, EN, ES, EST, FI, FR, GR, HK, HR, HU, IS, IT, LT, LV, NL, NO, PL, PT, RO, RU, SE, SK, SLO, SRB, TR ...
Our packages provide enough space for legal notices to appear in 3 to 4 languages at most.
Certified FSC pouches.
In order to preserve our forests and to contribute to saving the environment, we print (almost) all of our condom packs on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper. The pouches are concerned identifiable by the FSC logo on the Format menu.
